I wish Tsunade's constant chakra de-aging had been examined/discussed more in canon. Like, what initiated it? Vanity brought on by the pressure of being raised as Konoha's "princess"? Wanting to stay the way she looked when her loved ones were still alive so that in a roundabout way she still has that part of them? I feel like the most likely option is a fear of death that brought on a fear of aging, similar to Orochimaru.

Given that it constantly shortens her lifespan, it almost feels like a form of self harm. And what if that's intentional? Maybe she doesn't want such a naturally long lifespan so she's passively speeding things up so that she can see her loved ones sooner.

No matter how you slice it, the whole thing adds to the overall tragedy of her character and I wish it could have gotten more focus
